Theater in Ancient Greece Daily

Theater in Ancient Athens was tied into religion because they would do these certain plays and skits for different gods. They had a festival called the Dionysia. This festival was dedicated to the god Dionysus. These plays were either comedies, tragedies, or the satyr plays. These were the dramatic genres that they would perform for different festivals. Theater is related to politics in Ancient Athens because the plays would sometimes reflect on the decisions that they make as a country. The politicians would pick the plays based on their decisions around the time that they pick the play.
