2/17/10 Athens Notes

Athens is referred to as the mainland. The oldest poem written in the English language is the Iliad. There is a fight because Paris wants Helen of Troy to be his wife but she is already married. They fought for ten years. Achilles was killed in this battle. The Greeks slaughtered all the Trojans by hiding in a big wooden horse and jumping out when they were asleep. People thought Troy was a legend before a German architect found the city.
